Drug, Alcohol, and Tobacco Policy

Marblehead Girls Youth Lacrosse (“MGYL”) has a zero tolerance policy against the use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco by spectators, coaches and players at any MGYL event.  This includes, but is not limited to, use or possession on the fields, spectator areas, and parking lots.  Individuals who violate this policy will be required to leave the venue and will be subject to further disciplinary action.  Illegal activities will be reported to the police for appropriate action.

Registration Policy

NEW for 2020 Season: Marblehead Girls Youth Lacrosse (MGYL) will open registration on May 15th, 2019 with 2019 prices good through May 31st.  After midnight on May 31st, the prices are subject to increase. Registration fees are non-refundable. Your registration fee includes the cost of a pinnie, which you will be responsible for keeping for the following season(s).  If you need a larger pinnie for a subsequent year, we will provide you with one in exchange for the one that was outgrown.  We expect that all pinnies are returned to the program once players "retire" from MHD Girls Youth Lax.  We will charge $15 to replace a lost pinnie.  MGYL reserves the right to limit enrollment in each age group to maintain our high quality program.  Once registration fills for any particular program, we will create a wait list.  We encourage you to register for the wait list. We may elect to release wait-listed children to the program and we will do so without any notice to prospective players.  Registrations after the closing date, particularly for our travel program, are rare and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. MGYL serves the Town of Marblehead only; we cannot register any families who are not residents of Marblehead.  MGYL is a grade-based program.  Your child is only eligible to play for the grade in which she is enrolled.

Once registration is closed, we start to work on creating evenly matched teams in each age group.  We regret that we are unable to honor any friend requests. Once teams are established and placed into the system, there will be no changes.

Anti-Bullying Policy

Marblehead Girls Youth Lacrosse will not tolerate bullying of any kind towards children, parents, coaches, officials, or volunteers at any practice, game or other events associated with our program.  If bullying does occur, he or she will be subject to disciplinary action, including expulsion from the MGL program.  Bullying includes, but is not limited to, unwanted physical contact, verbal torments, racist taunts, and emotional torment.  Any or serious activities will be reported to the police for appropriate action.
